AHA Heartsaver eCards are valid for 2 years from the issue date. Most schools, childcare programs, youth sports, and workplace safety programs accept AHA Heartsaver.
Heartsaver is for lay responders (teachers, coaches, workplace teams, parents). It focuses on first aid, CPR, and AED use. BLS is for healthcare providers and students in clinical programs. If you work in a hospital/clinic, you likely need BLS.
Yes. You can complete AHA Heartsaver coursework online. Look for “eLearning + Skills” options on the booking page, or see E-Learning.
Bring a photo ID and wear comfortable clothing for skills practice. If your session requires access to AHA materials, you’ll see details in your confirmation email (options to purchase are provided at checkout). Need accommodations? Let us know.
Yes—many locations run evening and weekend classes and we often open last-minute seats. Check the live schedule in the Heartsaver options or browse all training locations.

Heartsaver does not always have a separate renewal format like ACLS/BLS. Most learners simply retake the appropriate Heartsaver course before their eCard expires (every 2 years).
